DUNGUN: A 64-year-old former religious teacher, who operated an illegal taxi service, was detained by police on Monday for allegedly molesting his passengers for the last two years.
It was learnt that only one of his victims had lodged a police report in March last year but the man was not arrested then.
The victim, a 20-year-old clerk, had lodged a report at the police station here alleging that the suspect groped her breasts, body and leg when she travelled in his taxi from her house in Batu Tujuh here to her workplace.
Recently, police received information that the suspect continued to take advantage of his passengers but no fresh report was filed.
Based on the information and the initial report last year, all taxi drivers in the district were summoned to the police station here on Sunday for an identification parade. ,<< arkib July 2010
